Summary

Finish: The finish is all original except for a small touchup over a crack repair along the inside edge of the pick guard.

Body Material: Mahogany

Top Material: Spruce

Neck Material: Mahogany

Neck Profile: Large "V"

Neck Thickness (IN): 1st- 1.02" 9th- 1.23"

Fingerboard Radius: 12.00"

Nut Width: 1-15/16"

Scale Length: 24 3/4"

Hardware: The nut and saddle have been replaced. The rest of the hardware is original.

Weight: 3 lbs 1 oz

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar is in very good condition with play wear consistent with its age. There is moderate checking and light dents and scuffs throughout. The finish is glossy.

Modifications/Repairs: There are three repaired cracks in the top. One on the upper bout treble side shoulder next to the tongue, one along the inside edge of the pick guard and one extending from the back of the bridge to the edge of the binding. All three cracks have been cleated inside the body. The crack along the edge of the pick guard has been touched up. The other two have not. The nut and saddle have been replaced. The guitar has been refretted. There is a small maple reinforcement added to the original maple bridge plate. This does not affect playability.

Serial Number: 682B

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are narrow and tall with no play wear. The head block is stamped "682B" and there is a "2" written below the stamp in red pencil. Because the guitar doesn't have binding on the back of the body it was likely built in the mid to late 1930s.
