Hardware: The bridge is the only original part on this guitar. The guitar has authentic 50s Gibson knobs. The rest of the hardware, including tuners, switch tip, pickup rings, pickup covers, pick guard, jack plate, tailpiece/studs and strap buttons are all repro parts.

Modifications / Repairs: This guitar has been converted from its original configuration as a 1955 Les Paul to have the specs of a 1959 Les Paul. The guitar already had an ABR-1 bridge and stop tail when it was new, so the main mods required were routing for the humbuckers and refinishing. The guitar has been stripped and refinished in the style of a "Burst". The top refin was done by Lays Guitars. Prior to that is was refinished by Historic Makeovers. The original soapbar pickup routes were filled and re-cut for humbuckers. These routes were done by Jam City Guitars. The neck has been refretted. The electronics, while old and correct for the era, are not original to the guitar. The headstock has been broken and repaired. The headstock is slightly narrower than it should been due to some reshaping while the it was repaired. The hardware, including tuners, switch tip, pickup rings, pickup covers, pick guard, jack plate, tailpiece/studs and strap buttons are all repro parts. The guitar has authentic 50s Gibson knobs. Authentic Gibson PAF pickups and era correct wiring with Bumblebee caps have been installed.

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in great condition for its age. It has a stunning three piece maple top, and light checking and marks on the glossy finish.
