Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Harmony guitar is in good condition. The finish is glossy with shallow scuffs and surface scratching scattered throughout. Two repaired cracks are visible on the bass side lower bout along the binding; these are structurally stable and will not affect playability. Another repaired crack on the back near these is also visible and is also stable. The edges of the headstock are moderately worn with some finish chipping and some longer areas of wear.
Modifications/Repairs: The internal braces have been converted to X-bracing. The back braces have been replaced and reduced from five braces to four. A new maple bridge plate and extra side braces have been installed. Two side cracks on the bass side lower bout have been repaired. A crack on the back near these cracks has also been repaired. The tailblock has been recessed. The back binding has been replaced. The neck has been refretted. The bridge may have been replaced and the saddle has been replaced with a bone saddle. The tuners have been replaced.
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are medium width and tall with minimal play wear.
