Summary

Finish: Original Blonde finish. The body has minor checking in addition to wear, dings, dents, and scratches throughout. The finish on the edges of the body and back of the neck has been worn away and smoothed with wear. On the back of the body, there is buckle rash that has also worn away some of the finish. Also, there is wear surrounding the bridge were the bridge cover or "Ashtray" was repeatedly pressed on and subsequently has left an outline of itself. Lastly, as well as the wear on the back of the neck, the neck displays ovular wear from fretting notes on the fingerboard spanning from the first to the twelfth frets.

The 3rd position is neck pickup with volume control and tone fully rolled off.

Tech Notes: This Nocaster plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The truss rod i sfunctional and the original frets show moderate wear given their age. This instrument is being dated to 1951 based on two pencil marks; one in the neck pocket of the body "6-12-51" and another in the electronics cavity displayed on a piece of masking tape "7-12-51." It also displays era correct components like all flat head screws, a paint can outline on the underside of the pickguard, and lack of any model designation on the headstock decal.
