Electronics: Original Gibson "Patent Applied For" sticker humbuckers with a three-position switch, two volume pots, two tone pots, and "Vari-Tone" rotary switch. Because of the stereo electronics, a "Y" cable is required for the instrument's full sonic capabilities to be heard. All of the electronics are original and unmodified. The only visible pot code is present on the bridge tone pot and displays 1959 dates.

Pickup Measurements: N/A due to schematic

Hardware: Non-original vintage Grover tuners and bridge. The tuning machine holes on the headstock were enlarged to fit the Grovers.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage ES-345 is in good cosmetic condition with moderate wear throughout. The finish is glossy with minor dings, dents, and scratches. There is heavy checking present throughout the entirety of the instrument. There are six exposed screw holes above the current Grover tuners on the back of the headstock from how the previous tuners were fastened secure.

Modifications/Repairs: -Gibson factory re-neck with a 1961 neck. -Refret. -Non-original vintage Grover tuners. -Tuning machine holes on the headstock were enlarged to fit the Grovers. -Non-original bridge.

Tech Notes: This ES-345 plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The refret was done well and the frets are tall with minimal wear. The guitar was re-neck'd by Gibson in 1961 and and was fitted with a neck with a thinner 1961 profile. It also includes the inlay at the first fret which wasn't introduced in 1961. It was done properly and is stable. The guitar dates to 1959 based on the serial number, the one visible 1959 pot code displayed on the bridge tone pot, and the "S" F.O.N. Only the neck has 1961 specs.
