Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Recording King guitar has aged nicely and is in good condition. The guitar has considerable play wear and extensive repairs. The finish is glossy with checking, light scratches, and small dings and dents throughout. There are filled holes and repaired cracks throughout.
Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has been fully over-sprayed and repairs and filled holes have been touched up. The black details on the headstock crown inlay wave been touched up with black lacquer. The neck has been reset and the guitar has been refretted. The tuners, nut, saddle, bridge pins and end pin have all been replaced. The center seam on the top has been reglued. There are three filled holes on the top around the bridge. There is a small wood graft added to the top near the binding on the treble side lower bout (this is mostly hidden by the sunburst). There are filled holes around the endpin from a trapeze tail piece that was installed at some point. The bridge is a replacement that was fabricated to look like the original. There are several long repaired cracks and two small wood grafts on the back of the body. There are filled holes and footprints visible on the back of the headstock from different tuner sets. The back of the body was removed and reglued at some point in order to repair braces inside the body. The bridge plate has been replaced.
